Good to see a UK rod building forum. Hope it goes well.

For my first post I was looking for information on a UK source for spey rod skeleton reel seats either with a cork insert or suitable for making one.

My other question is for details of how to fit such a seat to the blank. Does the cork extend below the skeleton reel seats parts, or are they glued directly to the blank? I would be concerned that the cork wouldn't have the strength required to hold everything together.

Any info greatly received.
